Seasonal Opportunities

Help make Easter happy for local children! Each year our Outreach Easter Basket project benefits kids from ministry partners such as  Children’s Harbor, Avondale Samaritan Place, and King’s Home. Baskets are provided with instructions and suggestions for filling them with Easter goodies.

This team sends a personalized note to each of the men at Donaldson prison as well as to the women’s facility in Birmingham. Names and birth dates are given to the writers who return the cards to Canterbury and are mailed close to that date.

Canterbury hosts a “pop-up” store annually for parents in the Avondale area to shop for new toys for Christmas for their children at affordable prices. This Christmas shopping event takes place at Avondale Samaritan Place. This year’s dates are December 3 & 4.
